“For over a century, my family has called Arkelshoef home. My grandfather, Jacobus Ruighaver, saw something more than soil and stone when he purchased this farm in 1924 — he saw a place where values could grow as steadily as crops and cattle.
This farm has always been more than a business.
It’s where my father taught me the rhythms of the land.
It’s where our cows graze the same fields as generations before.
And it’s where heritage meets purpose — every single day.
As the current caretaker of Arkelshoef, my role is not just to preserve what was, but to ensure it continues — stronger, more connected, and more meaningful for those who walk these grounds, whether as workers, visitors, or family.
The digital world is not a departure from tradition.
For us, it’s a way to carry it forward.
A way to open our gates to more people, more stories, and a future that honours the past.
